Liebster Blogger Award

Blogging for me has been a true learning experience. While I give God all the glory throughout my journey on this temporary earthly home, I have enjoyed sharing and growing with other bloggers. With that being said, I have been nominated for the Liebster award by T.R. Noble at Inside Cup. I am honored. Thank you!

I continue to enjoy reading more of what T.R. post! She is a witness of Christ and shares her journey through her passion while offering encouragement and deeper study into God’s word!

About The Award

Liebster Award is provided to bloggers who have less than 200 followers. Being nominated for the award will surely give these blogs some exposure to the internet and help them be discovered. “Liebster” is a German word which means “valued”.

It’s an award given to bloggers by other bloggers in hopes of creating awareness, and I’ve seen bigger blogs receive this award as well, which I think is nice. 🙂

Onto the award…

With each award the blogger is suppose to answer 11 questions with 11 facts about himself or herself. So, I will answer both sets of questions and then share 11 facts about me.

Congrats everyone! Should you accept the award, here are the rules 🙂

Rules of the Liebster Award are as follows:

1) Acknowledge the blog who nominated you for this award.
2) Answer 11 questions the blogger gave you.
3) Give 11 random facts about yourself.
4) Nominate 5-11 blogs.
5) Notify them.
6) Give them 11 questions to answer

My 11 Questions Answered:

1. What is a moment in your life that changed the rest of your life forever?

Me being 27 years young and losing my daddy at age 60 to cancer changed me in so many ways.

2. Since your first blog post, have you learned anything? What was it?

Yes!! I have learned that there is so much to learn! There is too much guilt and not enough grace. And whatever you look for, you find!❤️

3. If you could give any piece of advice right now, what would you say?

I would definitely say to build memories and love each day as if it were the last.

4.What kind of mark would you like to leave in someone’s life?

I hope I will have proven myself as genuine, loving and dependable.

5. Are there any regrets you feel right now? Could you mend them if you were able to?

I wouldn’t have learned the lessons if I hadn’t had the experience, however, there are many times I would have prevented heartache and destruction if I had listened to a wide ‘elder’ or opened the Bible!

6. What was your favorite childhood movie or book growing up?

The magic school bus. The babysitters Club series. And then my favorite highschool english book would have to be Lord of the flies.

7. Do you like playing games? What is your favorite game?

I love games. Any game! I love group interactive games the best.

8. What is your favorite food to eat?

Steak!

9. What could you go without for a month? (Choose something that wouldn’t be easy)

Coffee. Who am I kidding… no! Maybe the t.v!

10. Who in your life has made a lasting impression?

Oh so many people, but I would have to say my grandmother. Her name was Gloria and that fits her perfectly. She spoke beautifully, she dressed beautifully and she was the most beautiful woman inside and out.

11. If you could do one small thing to help another person today, what would it be?

Give them grace while offering them hope.

  1. Thank you so much Lindsay for the nomination for the Liebster Blogger Award. It is truly humbling to know that God is using me as a way to impact lives and I’m glad that He allowed me to make an impact on yours.

Quick question: How do you put the image of the Liebster Award in a blog post?

    1. Haha, I had a bit to learn myself with this so ask away any questions and I can try to help. I got an image off google. 😉 Also, I copied and pasted a lot and then changed up my portion… and you are welcome! I think this award is really neat and I already know that it has helped me to discover other blogs!!

  2. Girl, wow!!! Your answers really speak to me. I also love the Babysitters’ Club! I have a number of the books as well, haha! I didn’t know you had kids! Being married at 18 must have been the experience. One of my friends got married when she was 19, and she talks about how it was a growing process for her. I love your answers and I love the questions you came up with 🙂 congrats again!

    1. Thanks for the feedback. Made me smile. Yep, marrying at 18 was definitely a journey in itself and will always be one. I have to say though, I feel like while it may have made growing and evolving into adulthood harder having to do it along side someone else doing the same, it has made it amazing in all the same because we have ‘grown up’ together. I didn’t realize how immature we were then…. but we may say that same thing in ten more years! Lol!!! Celebrated 11 years this last summer!

And the babysitter club books were the best!

      1. That’s so wonderful. I relate somewhat similarly. 🙂 My husband and I dated when he was 15 and I was 16. Through that time we experienced long distance when I went to college, he finished high school, went to a different college, and then joined the Air Force. We were able to grow independently but also together. We married on our eight year anniversary. This year we celebrated four years of marriage and twelve years being together. 🙂 it certainly teaches you a lot. God used the long distance I experienced to help him when he had to spend a year in Korea and we hadn’t even celebrated our second year of marriage.

      2. Oh that is amazing!! Congrats girl! I would say we are very similar then! My husband served in the military (Marine Corp) as well. I did not know him then, we met right after… but kudos to you guys working through that, it had to be difficult! Thanks for your husbands service.

      3. That’s awesome! The friend I talked about who got married at 19, she married a guy who I graduated high school with. He joined the Marines. 🙂 I became friends with her when my husband, at time boyfriend, signed up, and we talked about what it was like. Not everyone understands and it is so important to find people who do. 🙂

      4. From what I understand, you have to have that support group. Because it is just like any other life event, you want to have those support you to have the same experiences. So where about do you live? I am in South Carolina.

  3. Hello lovejoybalance, thank you for the nomination which by the way, the folks that you chose as well, their blogs are way-way superior to mines. Nonetheless, I feel like a winner whenever someone reads my posts and tells me that it inspired them to seek the Lord. That to me is my award. You have a wonderful day. 🙂

    1. You are right about the greater award being seeking after God! The other blogs are not superior to yours however. The award is intended for ‘newer’ blogs to help us find others that share the same passion. Take a look into it. I had to do a little research myself!

      1. That sounds awesome. I’m glad you are helping blogs like “Taking up my cross” who is being used by the Lord to bring people to Jesus. What you are doing is great and I truly appreciate your nomination.
