I believe in finding purpose in the mundane and creating joy from sorrow, that love is a verb that we have to be intentional with and I continue to learn that the biggest mistake is thinking we have time.
So here I am, creating a blog. The one thing I have been so afraid of doing, but what for? I do not do it for my own glory, but for Him to receive all the glory. I share my stories, my research, and thoughts to encourage, equip, and embrace women just like me. Some may have the same stories or struggles or someone may not know Christ at all. It is my prayer that I will be used as a vessel for His purpose.
My name is Lindsay. I am a christian, a wife and a mother above anything else. I work outside the home as an insurance rep and office manager. I truly love, or convince myself that I love, all of the daily demands that I have signed up for and when I have some free time (and coffee) I enjoy writing, scrapbooking, cooking and exercise.
I am the wife to the love of my life since 2006, married in less than year out of high school, and a blessed mother to our two children – big sister and little brother. While both marriage and parenting have taken more work than I expected (esp. when he works night shift), it has been even more rewarding than ever anticipated. I am also a daughter to a mother who has become my best friend and a father who fought and lost the battle to cancer at a young age of 60. I have an older sister and a younger sister who is a recovering addict that amazes me each day. And one day her and I will be co-authors!
